PBI commitment

Our commitment

Cultivate differently, permanently

Since 2015, the Jolijardin nursery has been practicing Biologically Integrated Protection (BIP).
A voluntary approach to producing plants without chemical pesticides, while respecting natural balances.

In our greenhouses, we choose a more responsible approach to cultivation, with the health of plants, soil and gardens in mind.

This approach is in line with our vision of the Provençal garden: resilient, adapted to its environment, able to withstand the seasons without relying on heavy treatments.

how BIP works

Relying on biodiversity

Integrated Biological Protection is based on a simple principle: using natural mechanisms to regulate pests.

Rather than systematically eliminating pests, we introduce auxiliary insects that become our allies. Ladybugs, lacewings, hoverflies, predatory mites and nematodes all play a natural role in controlling aphid and other pest populations.

When necessary, targeted releases reinforce existing balances.
This fine-tuned management enables us to maintain a living ecosystem in our greenhouses, in which each species plays its part.

It’s not unusual to see these little helpers at work. It’s a sign of a healthy, controlled environment.

concrete benefits for your garden

Healthier plants and more resistant

PBI offers lasting results:

  • stronger, more balanced plants
  • zero chemical residue
  • better adaptation after planting
  • reduced environmental impact

Plants grown under these conditions develop their defenses naturally. Once installed in your garden, they integrate more easily and require less corrective intervention.

Every year, our approach progresses: more and more plants benefit from this natural protection, to help create ever more sustainable Provençal gardens.
